It's really not the love story it sets itself up to be. The film has a definite Shakespearean feel, and there's an inescapable sense of inevitable doom on the horizon. Bellflower is a hallucinatory, scary joy ride of a film.
It's a film about love, heartbreak, revenge, and head trauma. Love Hurts.
