Review of Belle de Jour (1967) by Alexander B — 02 Sep 2008
Super stylized film. A bit slow paced by today's standards but fascinating. Deneuve is at the hight of her beauty. An intriguing story about the sexual fantasies of an upper class "bourgeoise" .
.. there's a lot of room for the viewers personal interpretations of what's really happening. At times I was reminded of some of Fellini's films, especially the cut's from the fantasy world and the real world .
.. and how they may or may not be one and the same.
