Review of Belle (2013) by Tiffany D — 13 Sep 2014
Although it feels like it lacks a little meat, there are such magnificent sides offered on this buffet, that it results in a lovely meal, regardless. It's beautifully costumed and set - and features some beautiful actors - with talent.
It tells a based-on-facts story and advocates a strong moral-equality story - and manages to throw in a dash of romance, too. Lovers of period pieces should enjoy - lovers of history will leave wanting to learn more of the real tale.
While a part of me feels like I shouldn't like it as much as I did... the fact is, I did. 4 stars.
