Review of Being There (2011) by Hawk L — 04 Feb 2009
Is this movie about George W.? Kidding.... This role was perfect for Sellers, being a man with no personality. I just watched an interview this morning with John Cleese on the Bonny Hunt Show and he said he had worked with Sellers many times.
One morning, he and Graham Chapman were at his home writing a screenplay, while Sellers was still asleep. And when he did get up to greet the two, he was speaking in three different voices before he began talking in his own.
In Cleese's opinion, he was trying to find which voice was actually his own. Cleese also commented on the fact that the good impressionists, the really, really good ones, sometimes get lost within themselves.
And BLAHBLAHBLAH....
