Review of Being There (2011) by Kelly L — 07 Feb 2010
It has a slow start, but with a bit of patience you will learn to fall in love with this subtle, engrossing and thought-provoking film. These days, naivety and ignorance are looked upon as some sort of virginal quality you need to rid of in order to survive, but perhaps, real ignorance lies in being worldly enough to be consumed by modern society and real naivety lies in having adopted such a realistic perspective that all you accept in life is truth.
Sometimes, ignorance really is bliss. Chance the gardener is someone to aspire being, that is a certainty.
