Review of Being There (2011) by Rob S — 20 Jul 2010
I love Peter Sellers. I think he was a brilliant actor. No other movie of his showed off his acting cops like Being There. The story is fantasticaly funny and sweet all at once, but Sellers made this movie his masterpeice.
It's impossible to imagine any other actor playing the role of Chance Gardiner. Reading the biography of Peter Sellers, Being There was the movie he was most proud of...as it should be. I don't know one person who has seen this movie and hasn't fallen in love with it! The final shot makes you feel emotions on par with Charlie Chaplin's "City Lights".
Phenominal.
