Review of Being There (1979) by Michael D — 06 May 2017
I liked this movie, but found it perplexing that no one seemed to figure out that Chauncey (Peter Sellers) was simple. I thought the acting was great and the story interesting, but I had issues with suspending my disbelief in the ridiculousness of the contrived situation.
This guy was super lucky finding Eve (Shirley MacLaine). Then stumbling into becoming an economic advisor for the President and the head of a major company.
