The underlying problem was the script and direction, it felt like Sorkin copied and pasted various highlights from Lucille Ball’s Wikipedia page to fill in the main story about Lucille’s Communist ties but it fell flat.
Despite their efforts, the main characters were miscast and Kidman distracted from the story, with only the supporting cast the redeeming part. This feels like a film will not stand up to the test of time and forgotten in a few years.
