Review of Being the Ricardos (2021) by Imthenoob — 11 Jan 2022
I thought Sorkin did a very good job here showcasing how life during the making of this iconic show was far from perfect. The film details the start of the relationship between Ball and her husband and ends with the realization that her marriage is truly incapable of being saved. Meanwhile, in between all of this, we get a glimpse of how chaotic it was behind the scenes of the show and how hard they fought to not only keep things together but to keep pushing forward with their vision of how the show should be.
Kidman is fantastic, truly captivating as Ball and Bardem simply knock it out of the park as Arnaz. Both complement each other perfectly and really made this movie much more entertaining because of it. I don't understand the hate for this movie, I thought it was really good.
