Review of Being John Malkovich (1999) by Brandon T — 05 Jun 2011
Being John Malkovich is right in line with other Charlie Kaufman films I've seen (Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine, Synechdoche) in that it quickly becomes a surreal fantasy that doubles as a major headtrip.
Being John Malkovich may very well be the most enjoyable film out of Kaufman's catalog that I have seen. I loved the concept of jumping into John Malkovich's body and enjoyed watching the complications that happened to the characters once they could become someone else.
