Review of Being John Malkovich (1999) by Rick Q — 17 Apr 2012
Pure genius. everytime I watch "being john malcovich" I catch something new. the film's attention to detail is the way all films wish they could be. while the film is quite random and very dark comically, it feels very real.
that's definitely due to a fantastic script from charlie kaufman and an amazing director like spike jonze. it also helps that john cusack, catherine keener and cameron diaz give some of the best performances of their careers.
