Review of Being John Malkovich (1999) by Nash A — 10 May 2012
Um...no. I don't think I would ever like to be John Malkovich. While the premise is surprisingly (and troublingly) original, it didn't have a lot to build on. I loved the first 30 minutes of the movie, but by the end nothing made sense anymore and the jokes were old and unfunny.
The first 30 minutes of the movie were weird, but at least I was able to get into it. However, Dr. Lester (played by Orson Bean) was hillarious. He was hysterrical for most of the movie (with the exception of the ending).
I wouldn't really recommend this movie to anyone, unless you like really bizzare movies that starts a comedy and ends a "what did I just watch?".
