Review of Being John Malkovich (1999) by Jon-Tyler S — 29 Dec 2013
One of the craziest, strangest, vivid and wildly original movies I ever seen.
Being John Malkovich is about a man who finds a portal in his office that let's you be the actor John Malkovich for 15 minutes then drops you off at the New Jersey turnpike.
The film is the first collaboration between director Spike Jonze and writer Charlie Kaufman and stars John Cusack, Cameron Diaz, Catherine Keener and John Malkovich.
The movie is almost 15 years old and it is still making people scratch their heads. It's so strange and unique that it seems unreal. It's quite wonderful. I would try to compare it to another movie but I can't. It's like Inception and The Matrix only because of they're all about dreams and discovering what is real and what is not.
