Review of Being Flynn (2012) by Marina N — 04 Jul 2012
The movie centers around a father-son relationship. The conflict is brought alive by the superb performances by the lead actors. The movie gives a very raw look at homelessness. It's quite painful to watch, particularly because De Niro is 100% credible in his role.
It's nice to see De Niro in a role that really allows him to show his skill. I hope that he will choose more such roles in the future. The movie is quite slow at times and the end is more like a slow start with many problems still unresolved.
Yet, it's a power character study and will be greatly enjoyed by the fans of this genre.
