From the start I wanted to like it but found it to be depressing and uninspiring. The writing for the movie just felt like the between chapters or the middle act of a play, imagine waling in to watch scene two where you watch and piece together the opening scene just to see that they stopped before the final act.

There is no direction or conclusion. It tried to be too smart ended up just sad and pointless. Acting was excellent direction I believe was as good as it could be with the script that was developed. If you appreciate the book in which this is based on don't watch the movie.
