Review of Being Flynn (2012) by Andrew L — 07 Dec 2012
This is an alright movie. While the story seems like it hits a wall a little too early, there is still a lot to praise about the movie. The direction was very simplistic but with a story focusing mostly on two people, the story through the camera was told well.
One issue that the movie has is the constant alternating between the son and the dad's perspectives. While it makes some sense in terms of the story, it could have been a lot smoother. The acting was very good.
Robert De Niro and Paul Dano added a much needed artsy and heavily emotional tone in some scenes. Definitely worth the rent.
