Review of Being Flynn (2012) by Lisa R — 04 Jul 2012
Robert is his usual aged grumpy old man in this one but this one had me up until the ending.
How do u cope with forgiving and moving on when ur parents desert u when your younger and need them around. I think it was hard for Nick to move beyond all he experienced as a young boy wanting and needing his dad and then one day he just shows up in his life after his mother died.
Then while workin in a homeless shelter your dad walks in ... homeless .. what do u do? How do u overcome the hurt and pain and move forward??
I think all that made Nick a better and more humbler person. He used writing to vent his frustrations and it paid off bigtime.
