Review of Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey (2011) by Sonia M — 06 Nov 2011
I saw this movie last night and I'm still smiling 24 hours later. It made me laugh and cry. What really touched me was when Kevin spoke about missing out on his daughter's childhood because he was so busy working at being Elmo.
I began to cry because I remembered my first born and how much Elmo was a HUGE part of our everyday life back then. Kevin missed his own daughter's birthday yet Elmo was at my daughter's birthday.
Elmo and Kevin were there everyday at our house and to think he felt like he missed out on raising his own child when I feel he help me raise my own. I'm sure his little girl is proud of her daddy after watching this film.
Thank you to the filmmakers for bringing Kevin's inspiring story to life. Go see the movie and you too will be inspired to follow your passion, whatever that may be. It's such a beautiful tribute to parenthood and just makes you feel good.
You will walk out with a huge smile on your face :0).
