Review of Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006) by Luke M — 24 Jun 2008
Who said that slasher films are gone...well they'd better check out this brilliant and original classic about a new uprising psychopathic killing machine name Leslie Vernon who invites a film 3-man filmcrew team to help him document his upcoming slaughter on the town that made him the killer.
..he's influenced by the likes of Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger who are legends in their hometwons and now Vernon is making a suprise return to his home town to become legend and a curse.
Brillaintly filmed in two ways...a documentry style and a real film look, the cast is brillaint Nathan Baesel as Leslie is the best he's funny, scary and damn right awesome, Robert Englund (Freddy) stars as his ahab to locate and stop Leslie from going on a teen-lsaughter-rampage.
