Review of Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006) by Chris H — 26 Oct 2010
The mockumentary scenes are well done but the twist and subsequent change in perspective really hurt; they wrote themselves into a corner. The premise of the story parodies horror cliches and then jumps right into using them.
It seems counter productive. A more balanced use of horror and comedy akin to Shaun of the Dead would have worked better.
