Review of Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006) by William H — 05 Mar 2012
Meh. The idea is that a documentary team sets out to do a documentary on a Jason / Freddie / Scream style killer who has a sense of humor and wants them to document his awesomeness. The villain / subject of their faux documentary just didn't do it for me.
It's a cute production, but it's never as clever as it thinks it is. Nothing ever felt like it was at stake, and nothing else compensated for that.
