Fun and creepy. Possibly one of the best of the self-referential slasher flicks, perhaps even smarter than Scream. Great set-up and interesting style (a blend of mockumentary and over-the-top thrill-kill teen-slasher movie, all very tongue-in-cheek).
Good acting, too. Quite the surprise. The blended gimmicks make it work, but they also detract somewhat from the flow of the movie. Almost excessive, in that you get the feeling at first you are seeing a horror movie that failed during production being utilized unevenly with the wrap-around of the mockumentary.
A solid 3 stars, and recommended.
