Review of Behind the Candelabra (2013) by Alan W — 06 Jun 2013
Matt Damon is miscast but he is not bad in it for what he is asked to do. Rob Lowe gives his funniest performance EVER, and Michael Douglas rules. Its not Soderbergh's best, but if it's a movie he has to go out on, it has a helluva ending, almost like All That Jazz level in terms of an existential musical thing.
Oh, and it's quite gay, and proud of it. Entertaining stuff. Interesting that this director goes out in 2013 with two Lifetime movies basically - Side Effects and this.
