Review of Behind the Candelabra (2013) by Brandon V — 04 Aug 2014
An impeccable biopic in structure, with excellent performances from Damon and Douglas. I'm still trying to piece together why we end up where we do and what the take-away from "Behind the Candelabra" is meant to be, but that in no great measure diminishes this film, a supremely fascinating (supposedly) last Soderbergh picture.
Delight in the adept storytelling which is only enhanced by the powerhouse nature of its pertinently theatrical sense of adult relationships and sexuality.
