Review of Behaving Badly (2014) by Kevin R — 01 Mar 2015
While I'm dead, feed the dog.
Rick Stevens is an overzealous kid that wants to be Mr. Popular and date school hottie Nina Pennington. If that is to happen, he needs to keep it a secret that he started sleeping with his best friend's mother. Rick's older sister, who works at a strip club, brought some of her colleagues home one night. Rick uses this opportunity to throw a school party and hopefully impress Nina.
"Where's your father?".
"He moved out again.".
Tim Garrick, who worked on the Stranger than Fiction and Jailbait delivers Behaving Badly in his directorial debut. The storyline for this picture was awful and reminded me of a mix between American Pie and Van Wilder. The acting was also disappointing and the cast included Selena Gomez, Nat Wolff, Mary-Louise Parker, Elisabeth Shue, Dylan McDermott, Heather Graham, Jason Lee, and Cary Elwes, and Gary Busey.
"You forgot to put the seat down, fag.".
I grabbed this because my girlfriend is a huge Selena Gomez fan, or at least wants to follow her career, so we gave this a shot off Netfflix. This was absolutely horrible. This teenage coming of age film wanted to be Van Wilder so hard, but it falls flat. I recommend skipping this.
"Less work for me.".
Grade: F.
