Wow, what an amazing movie.
By using flashbacks and non-linear narrative, Beginners is a coming out story, a romance and cancer drama rolled into one. And kudos to Christopher Plummer, who's knocks it out of the park as a man trying to find himself and make up for 70 years of living in the closet. Ewan McGregor is amazing as always.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it tries a little to hard to be "indie". Two words: talking dog.
