Review of Beginners (2011) by Adam P — 02 Jan 2012
This is a charming movie that is beleagured by its somewhat somber tone and modest ambition which leave it too low key to be truely affective. I enjoyed its take on modern relationships though and Christopher Plumber is truely fantastic here as a dying gay man finally living his life the way he wants to.
Though suffering from too much indiness at some points, its message while not loud is clear and well recieved.
