Review of Beginners (2011) by Gale G — 20 May 2012
Oliver and Anna are Beginners; not having had good role models for male/female relationships. Was Anna's Father in love with his daughter? Or was she abused by him? Oliver sees the disconnect between his father and mother and cannot find a way to connect in his adult life.
But for wanting to see Christopher Plummer in his award winning role, I would not have been interested in this unsatisfactory movie.
