A fantastic film, aided by super chemistry between Ewan McGregor and Melanie Laurent (You may recognize her from her role as Shosanna in Inglourious Basterds. She's got a beautifully expressive face, I've been in love with her ever since Basterds).
Christopher Plummer also acts his heart out as McGregor's gay father who is living it up during the last few years of his life. Beginner's is a fantastic introspective film about love, the nature of the thing, and how it can change people for better or for worse.
It's easily a must-see.
