Interestingly filmed, dreamy yet ultimately dreary movie about a 30-something man who isn't willing to take on the responsibility of being an adult. He can't commit to a relationship because he doesn't want it to be like the one his mom and dad had, which wasn't perfect (but which was still better than most).
About halfway through I lost patience with Ewan McGregor's character ... without losing my appreciation for his acting skill.
