Review of Beggars in Ermine (1934) by Bill T — 10 May 2012
An odd movie about a successful industrialist who is injured because of a workplace accident, then gets the company stolen from him by an unscupulous employee. The industrialist then goes on a crusade, and goes panhandling (don't ask) and brings all the OTHER panhandlers into a union! Soon the panhandlers union is taking care of them, and of course, the industrialist is rich again, all the more to take revenge on his former employee! Highly preposterous and somewhat amusing, this film seems to be aimed more towards the high brow crowd.
Lord knows what they thought of it.
