A terribly depressing film but wonderfully performed and tightly scripted. Although I truly enjoyed Lumet's visual style in telling the story, the flashback transitions were REALLY jarring and kind of annoying.
..certainly an impressive film though, and worth the viewing... although don't have any prescription medication nearby...you may be tempted to pop a few too many by the time the film is over.
