Very, very interesting, in every aspect of the film. The parallel downward spirals of the plot and the characters is intriguing at the least, brilliant at best. The narrative structure of going back in time to see an event from another character's point of view fills in the gaps of information and holds suspense nicely, while the curious sound effects that accompany the transition from one time to another indicate a self-awareness of the cliche.
The acting is, again, interesting - I'm not sure if it was amazing or terrible, especially as Ethan Hawke does his best Tom Cruise impression, but at least it kept my attention.
