Fine performances all-around, stellar direction from Sidney Lumet (in what would ultimately be his final film), and crafty editing perfectly showcase the gritty, painfully gripping drama that Before the Devil Knows You're Dead has to offer.
I regret waiting so long to see this movie, yet inspired to see that Lumet was still very much at the top of his craft after five decades as one of the industry's most enduring directors.
