Philip Seymour Hoffman is fantastic! The only actor that holds his own with him on screen is Albert Finney who is no slouch himself. Most of the time I hate the forwards, backwards, sideways, upside down story telling but I was entrenched in this story.
There are so many emotionally brutal scenes of people just digging themselves deeper and deeper thinking that they're doing the right thing in the process. The way the movie wraps up is disappointing but the first hour and half were some of the best film put out in 2007 without question.
