I have nothing but love for this movie. The one bad thing about it is that it ends. Almost five years since I first saw it it still resonates deeply with me. Nine years after their chance meeting in Vienna, Jessie and Celine meet again in Paris.
..older, more jaded. The raw moments in the taxi, the tense walk up the stairs, the looks back and forth - priceless! Were Hawke & Delpy in character or simply playing themselves? I have no idea, but it's obvious that the cast and director invested a lot of time and emotion in the characters.
Cinematic gold.
