Review of Before Sunrise (1995) by Jim F — 06 Sep 2012
Very well acted movie, focusing on a 24 hour relationship. There was lots of awkwardness on intial meeting of each other, which was well followed by an ample amount of shit talking. The movie probed alot of insights into relationships so much so that each character had certain similarities to me myself.
The only thing I couldn't buy in this movie was the fact that they didn't exchange numbers, or addresses. But I guess the movie is 1995, and both characters are young and active, so a long distance relationship could be a pain in the arse back then.
I sumise that she was keen on him, and that he went into this with no intention of giving it a full chance. Back on the train he talked her into getting off with him by saying "years into the future when in a boring relationship she will look back at this meeting and wonder 'what if'".
Well, the "what if" is still there.
