One of the most beautiful love stories I have ever seen. It is an uncomplicated movie with a very simple and real storyline, but the composition and chemistry between Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy is perfect, and the dialogues are stunning. The direction is remarkable, conveying the feelings of Celine and Jesse to the viewer.

1. I kind of see this all love as this, escape for two people who don't know how to be alone. People always talk about how love is this totally unselfish, giving thing, but if you think about it, there's nothing more selfish.
2. Do you know anyone who's in a happy relationship?
- yeah, sure. I know happy couples. But I think they lie to each other. :P.
