Review of Before Sunrise (1995) by Vincent T — 23 Jun 2012
In as much as the movie passes in several cuts, the magic of the film is capturing that one night of passion and romance in the height of youth.
My deepest regret is not watching this film back in 1995 or anytime during my "days of being wild", if ever I really *was* wild. It would've touched more heartstrings and definitely would be up there with my many a list of realistic romances.
Although it has still entered my list now, I would've enjoyed it more during the times where I felt most romantic and most cheesy. Still passionate about it and loved every second of it.
Linklater mixed with the performances of both Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy creates a near perfect romance as it is discovered in life and moves as a haunting, lasting effect to jog one's memory and remember a moment that cannot be removed from one's memory.
