Great screen romances have similar characteristics, that is an ability to engage the audience and make them feel they are involved--you know, allowing them as if they were the proud matchmakers. They cry and laugh along with the performers like the stage has no tier. And I think this movie has it.

As I'm not a Linklater fan, I guess I don't have much to criticize about. This movie was produced almost two decades ago and generally, the script is still relevant, e.g. when Celine said, "Feminism is made by males so they can ask the females to free their bodies." Sounds familiar? FEMEN!

Ethan played good. Julie? She had the pinkest of cotton candy. I remember when Ethan dropped the line, "She is like Botticelli's angel." I think it can actually be intended to her.
