Review of Before Midnight (2013) by Sam K — 03 Nov 2013

One of those fabled third acts of a trilogy that doesn't suck. Anyone who's seen Before Sunrise / Sunset already knows that this third exploration of romance and coupling is going to hit some high, idealist notes as well as dark, uncomfortable notes, and both kinds will ring equally true.

The titles of these movies always suggest a deadline, and it is both reassuring and nerve-wracking to know that some of the issues and decisions that plague young people's need to define themselves will not go away with age.
