Review of Before Midnight (2013) by Luke P — 17 Dec 2014
A perfect third installment into what is now my all-time favorite trilogy. These three films compliment each other beautifully, and it's impossible for me to say which one I like the best. "Before Midnight" definitely has a different vibe than the previous two movies, but rightfully so.
It's certainly the most intense of the trilogy, focusing heavily on the conflict between these two characters after years of being together. It's the hardest to watch of the three, because the problems between the two feel so real.
That's the beauty of the "Before" trilogy. It's a simple concept, but it feels completely authentic. I feel like I know these characters and I love all three films. Perfection!
