My Review.
": God knows he has many problems and has struggled his whole life connecting and being present, even with those he loves the most. And for that he is deeply sorry. But you are his only hope.".
"The world is fucked by unemotional, rational men deciding shit.
This movie was actually hard to watch but I just wanted to know how it was going to end that I just couldn't keep my eyes of the screen. The final chapter in the before trilogy is one of the hardest romance movies to watch if you went into this film having first met these two crazy characters on the train. Fast forward nine years to there continued journey of love where Jesse was in Paris having written his first book and doing an interview in a Paris book store were he and Celine catch up and talk about their lives after that night and in the end Jesse stays in Paris with her. But now another nine years have passed and there f=dealing with trouble in their relationship.
In Before Midnight Jesse and Celine are on vacation in Italy with there three little girls, Jesse is having some problem coping with his other son Hank. Jesse and Celine while on vacation are threatened but the future and must maintain there love for one another.
In the opening sequence we see Jesse(Hawke) and Hank(Fitzpatrick). Hank is going back to live with his mother after having spent the summer with is dad. Just by that alone I could tell there was something wrong with these two, They were talking about Hanks mother Jesse's ex-wife who Hank mostly stays with and how he hates seeing them fight. Which is how I felt seeing Jesse and Celine fight. It was hard to watch, cause the love Jesse has for Celine and the love Celine has for Jesse that's what I want, and I like to think someday that I might find it. I give Before Midnight a five out of five.
