Review of Before Midnight (2013) by John T — 14 Sep 2013
I have seen the entire trilogy. This film is well written, a little depressing, and about the relationships of 3 couples set in a beautiful place -- just like the movie "MUD" but without the violence.
Before Midnight is set in Greece. It is the slow vacation life where Ethan Hawke and Julie Delphy talk it out. Ethan's voice is hard to hear towards the end of the film, but it does not detract from the film's greatness.
This is not just a chick flick. We get a glimpse into the male perspective as much as that of the female perspective.
