My personal opinion as a fan of the horror genre is that this movie was great. I highly enjoyed the scary aspects of the manifested dreams and the drama of letting go after experiencing a loss. The actors did a phenomenal job in bringing credibility to their performances especially Jacob Tremblay.
My only destain was the unfulfilling ending which offered no real closure or conclusion.
