Review of Before I Go to Sleep (2014) by Jarrin R — 07 Aug 2015
A riveting emotional thriller about a woman (Nicole Kidman) who wakes every morning with no memory of the days/years since a traumatic brain injury years ago. Her husband (Colin Firth) patiently has to reintroduce himself to her every morning, but unbeknownst to him a doctor (Mark Strong) is secretly treating her, trying to help her recover the memory of what happened to her.
As memories start to resurface, the mystery and menace builds. I'm startled by all the negative reviews of this film, because I found it to be an absorbing, fascinating, suspenseful story with outstanding performances by the 3 lead actors.
