Review of Before I Fall (2017) by Greg B — 17 Mar 2017
"Before I Fall," in the spirit of "Groundhog Day", tells the story of a teenage girl who keeps reliving the same day over and over again. She makes mistakes on that day and believes she must make an appropriate series of choices to remedy the repeating day.
This film is full of difficult questions, and aside from the cliched, misunderstood socially awkward girl, I thought this film was compelling and interesting. This young girl is forced to question the choices she has made in life on her throne of popularity, and the day repeating itself in may ways helps to make her a better person.
Though the film is not populated with well known actors, I thought the teens did a splendid job displaying the angst and social issues that teenagers in the real world face. The film leaves you with a lot to think about ----------------------------------------------------------- B.
