Review of Before I Fall (2017) by Kyle S — 30 Mar 2017

I read the book and saw the movie. I was glad they removed the scene with the teacher and the smoking. For the most part it was a decent movie. I'm just not sure I would have connected with the movie as well without reading the book first.

Samantha's character doesn't really evolve enough. In the movie specifically, it didn't have enough of the back-story to understand why thing were the way they were. I was also really bothered when the whole screen suddenly went white.

I thought the video was broken or something. It literally gave my head an abrasive shock. And I know it's probably already been said, but this is really a poorly done remake of groundhog day. The only difference is the characters were not likable.

I was essentially glad each time Samantha died.
