Review of Beetlejuice (1988) by Jamey H — 30 Oct 2013
Maybe it's because there's such a lack of original, creative stories in movies these days, but I have to appreciate this film even more now. It's a complete joyride - hilarious, bizarre, macabre, clever, and driven by an imaginative concept.
This holds up very well in the Tim Burton catalogue for me, and it has some memorable performances (Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder especially).
