Review of Beetlejuice (1988) by Nicholas G — 24 Nov 2015
The character of Beetlejuice is one of the most iconic characters put to screen by Tim Burton. This movie is a such a blast to watch and in my opinion is also a good movie to watch on Halloween. The story is set up perfectly in about the first 30 minutes of the movie when a young couple die(I swear this movie is not that scary) and become ghosts.
A new couple comes to live in their house but they are hell bent on redecorating it much to the dismay of the young couple. They try different ways to scare the couple and their young daughter(the beautiful Winona Ryder) into leaving the house but to no avail so they call the bio-exorcist Beetlejuice to help them.
The movie features two songs the banana boat song(The acting in this scene by all involved was phenomenal they really seemed to be possessed) and Jump in the line that perfectly match what the movie was trying to achieve.
